Proprietor James Harvey has considerable skill and experience in construction management, and the production of technical drawings. His work ethic, construction background, and artistic abilities have been strongly influenced and encouraged since childhood. With a background in art and a love for architecture, James began his drafting and design training with a vocation program in high school. During that time he also worked as a draftsman for a local residential builder. From there he went on to Norfolk State University graduating with honors with a Bachelors Degree in Building Construction, and an Associates Degree in Architectural Drafting.

After college, James followed in his father's footsteps and started a career in construction management. While involved in managing construction projects (full-time), James kept his hands and heart (part-time) in the craft of technical drawing. James has been a CAD operator since the late 1980's and has prepared drawings for home additions, garages, concrete formwork, support of excavation systems, construction coordination, and metal fabrication.

James holds various certifications and training in construction project management, computer-aided drafting, construction safety, and critical path scheduling. His resume includes many types of projects for an assortment of owners and agencies. Examples include several highway and bridge projects for Maryland State Highway Administration, hardscape renovation for the City of Baltimore, grandstand and site work for Bolling Air Force Base Ceremony Lawn , mass excavation, site utilities, and structural concrete for Towson University Sports Complex, structural concrete and site work for National Aeronautics and Space Administration, parking facility and space-frame construction at Baltimore/Washington International Airport, site utilities and structural concrete at Ronald Reagan Building, aviation ramp construction at Washington Dulles International Airport.
